Snoop Dogg recently shocked fans by announcing his decision to quit smoking, and it appears he’s discovered a new kind of “high.”
The West Coast rap legend took to Instagram on Saturday (November 18) to share a pensive selfie with the caption: “Natural high,” alongside a clock and music emoji.

Snoop has been synonymous with smoking marijuana since the very start of his 30-year career, so the sudden sobriety is no doubt a shock to his system. But he’s not the only one.
Mike WiLL Made-It appears to be going through a similar transition and commented on Snoop’s post: “I feel ur pain unk we on the same journey !”
Fellow West Coast icon DJ Quik also provided some positive words, writing: “When You got that Glow… you feel the warmth from the Power of Elevation!,” referencing Willie Hutch’s 1985 song “The Glow.”
Snoop Dogg announced he had decided to kick his long-standing weed habit in an Instagram post last week.
“After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke,” he wrote. “Please respect my privacy at this time.”

Earlier this year, Tha Doggfather revealed he was lowering his smoking intake due to precautions with his health after becoming a grandfather.
“Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways,” he told The Daily Mail in March. “The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with, because I want to see my grandkids grow old.
“The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move, who I hang out with, where I go out, my intake, what am I intaking. Am I doing extra-curricular or am I just doing what I’m supposed to be doing?”
Snoop Dogg is inspiring other high-profile rappers to give up weed. Days after his announcement, Meek Mill indicated that he’d be following his lead.
