YG has always been supportive of efforts to give 2Pac his flowers, but his recent trip to the Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony honoring the late Hip Hop legend found him on the wrong end of the law.
In an Instagram story posted on Wednesday (June 7), the Compton native can be seen just outside the ceremony’s location on Hollywood Blvd., where approximately five cops are standing behind him. While it’s unclear whether he was formally detained or simply pulled over, the rapper seemed to take it all in stride.

“Y’all find what you were lookin’ for? Yeah? No?” he said, smiling. “Y’all find it? Hell nah, huh? That’s what I told you, son, I’m a gangsta, a real gangsta, with the Bloods. Ha ha!”
He then can be seen looking back at the cops, who don’t seem to be acknowledging him, though one appears to be writing a ticket.
Prior to this, the “Let’s Ride” rapper vented his frustrations on Twitter when he realized that it had taken nearly 25 years for ‘Pac to get his just due on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“It took them 25 years + to give Tupac a star on Hollywood Blvd? Y’all got him f*ucked all the way up,” he tweeted last week.

Also weighing in, Boosie Badazz had a lot to say about the perceived disrespect, assuring people that the “Hit ‘Em Up” rapper was throwing his middle finger in the air from the Great Beyond.
“Tupac ain’t ON THE HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME? WTF THE DISRESPECT !! Don’t worry he saying FUCK YALL from the Grave !!” he tweeted.
The long-awaited ceremony took place on Wednesday (June 7) on Hollywood Blvd., which comes nearly 27 years following the West Coast legend’s tragic murder and a little over a week shy of what would have been his 52nd birthday.
The late rapper’s younger sister, Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur, was presented with a resolution by the City of Los Angeles honoring the work 2Pac did in the community and his legacy prior to her emotional speech.

“2Pac knew deep down that he was always meant for something great. As his little sister, I had the privilege to watch that greatness unfold,” she said. “From the first time he stepped foot on stage at the Apollo Theater at 13 years old before anyone recognized his name, he knew he had the dream to have a star here on the Walk of Fame.”
Set continued: “Not only paying tribute to his contribution in the music industry but speaks volumes to he lasting impact he’s had on this world.
“Today, we’re not just honoring a star on the ground but honoring the world and the passion he put into making his dreams come true. His heavenly star will shine a little brighter today.”
