XXXTENTACION was shot and killed in 2018 outside a Florida motorcycle store, and new mugshots of the rapper’s murderers have now been released.

In March, a first-degree murder conviction was handed down to the three men involved in the rapper’s death — Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome — almost five years after he was killed. Shortly after, they were sentenced to life in prison with no parole.

Prosecutors did not seek the death penalty. Additionally, Williams, Boatwright, and Newson will have no chance for early release for good behavior.

Despite being seemingly jovial and happy throughout the trial, such as Michael Boatwright who blew a kiss while in the courtroom, their smiling faces seem to have faded in new prison mugshots — see them below.

At the sentencing of Williams, Boatwright and Newsome, XXXTENTACION’s manager, Solomon Sobande, read a statement on behalf of his family, and also gave a nod to the late rapper’s son who was born after he died.

“This is a loss we will never truly recover from,” he said. “We will never get to see Jahseh live to his full potential, we will never get to watch him grow old, we will never get to watch him be a father.”

XXXTENTACION (real name Jahseh Onfroy) was shot and killed outside a motorcycle shop in Florida on June 18, 2018. He was just 20 years old. The assailants got away with $50,000 in cash in a Louis Vuitton bag that XXX had just withdrawn.

Following the murder convictions, Jenesis Sanchez, the mother of XXXTENTACION’s son posted her reaction to the news via Instagram.

“After five long years you may finally rest in peace,” she wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. “Gekyume will never get to meet you earthside but it is my job as a mother to ensure I share those special memories with him.”

She continued: “Jah was robbed of his life and Geky was robbed of his father. For this, I will never truly have complete peace but justice being served today helps the healing process.”
