Trae Tha Truth has blasted Houston airport-based officers for allegedly profiling him as he arrived home after performing at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles.
The incident occurred on Monday (March 6), with the Houston rapper taking to Instagram to share video of the encounter shortly afterward. In the clip, two officers are seen going through Trae’s bag and asking if he has any “illegal narcotics,” while he tells them that he’s a rapper who doesn’t smoke nor drink.

In more positive news, Trae punctuated a 2022 full of giving back by coming to the aide of an elderly woman who was arrested for not paying a garbage bill.
The Houston native shared a clip on Instagram of him visiting Martha Menefield in December. The month prior, she had authorities come to her Alabama home to take her into custody for not paying the bill, which she believed she paid.
The arrest caused outrage on social media, but a city official claimed the elderly woman had a history of suspended service and never responded to a citation to appear in court, which she said she did not receive.
