Trae The Truth is known for his big gestures, and the Houston native’s latest act of generosity sees him surprise Dave Chappelle with some new bling.
According to TMZ, Trae recently gifted the comic legend during a meet-up in Los Angeles. The rapper went to his go-to hometown jeweler Iceman Nick to craft the icy piece to perfection.

The gold chain features a heavy “C” pendant emblazoned with glossy VS diamonds — 15 carats worth of them. The piece is estimated to be worth about $25,000. Chappelle was reportedly taken aback as he’s never been one to showcase diamonds or even have an iced-out logo associated with his lucrative brand.
The pair have reportedly been friends for years dating back to their early days of fame. Trae The Truth is said to be a regular at Dave’s shows when he’s in H-Town.
The giving isn’t only limited to his celebrity friends as Trae The Truth is always looking for ways to help his community. Earlier this month, he made a trip to Jackson, Mississippi to help civilians deal with the ongoing contaminated water crisis that has been going on for two decades.
“Jackson Mississippi, Its Messed Up Watchin Yall Go Thru this… We heard YOU loud and clear! We Here… Any Families In Need Tapp In,” Trae captioned his post.
Another post showed video footage of the trip and Trae speaking with the families as well as helping install water filters in various homes. One woman recalled always having to boil water ever since she was a child while a news reporter detailed the efforts to bring clean water to “150,000” residents of Jackson, Mississippi.
“Sending Luv To Jackson Mississippi,” Trae captioned his second post. “We only been seeing the water situation for past Weeks, Truth is They Been Dealing With This 20 years Plus… Anyone Who want to help or want to try to assist, they can honestly Use All The Support… Luv.”

Rae Sremmurd were also on hand to help out the Mississippi families in crisis. In a tweet shared earlier this month, rapper Swae Lee revealed the duo had collected more than two trucks-loads of bottled water, to be delivered to families in need in the state’s capital, Jackson.
He proceeded to thank all those who had contributed to the drive, sharing a photo of him and brother Slim Jxmmi in front of the donations.
