The incident happened after the two rappers got into a drunken dispute following a party hosted by Kylie Jenner in July 2020. Tory has long maintained his innocence but did not testify at the trial.
Lanez’s appeal is based on “Erroneous Admission of Evidence” and “Prosecutorial Misconduct,” but his motion has been delayed to allow the prosecution to examine it.
After he was found guilty, a written statement from Megan was read in court by Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta.
