SZA has always been a huge Beyoncé fan – so she was of course elated when she found out that they now have a major accolade in common.
On the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated April 26, SZA scored the first No. 1 song of her career with her Doja Cat-assisted “Kill Bill (Remix).” With that feat, it put her in the company of Ms. Knowles as the only Black women to have achieved both a No. 1 album and a No. 1 song in the 2020s.

“To be next to the queen is an honor,” SZA wrote on her Instagram Story on Thursday (May 5) with a screenshot of the news.
Days prior on Tuesday (May 2), the New Jersey singer reacted to her first No. 1 song with pure joy.
“took me a over week to process cause I dreamt of this my entire career.. didn’t feel real lol, still doesn’t,” she tweeted. “but I wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. Every person, every fan base every ear that listened and pushed for me . Can’t believe we have a number 1 record.”
SZA gushed over her Beyoncé fandom just earlier this year in a conversation with Lizzo. During an Instagram Live between the two, Lizzo revealed she would be seeing Bey’s upcoming Renaissance Tour three different times, which left SZA in disbelief.
“I saw ‘Formation’ twice,” Lizzo said. “I went opening night ’cause it was on my birthday, then I saw her in L.A.”

SZA added: “The only time I seen Beyoncé perform was at Coachella, and it was fucking crazy.”
Lizzo then dropped the bombshell that she’s seen Beyoncé perform an insane 11 times, although that included concerts with Destiny’s Child. Regardless, SZA couldn’t believe Lizzo has seen the Queen live that many times.
“You making it seem like it’s ok to fight for these tickets now,” SZA said. “I’m going to fight for them. It was like taboo trying to fight for them because everyone was trying to get them.”
She added: “I don’t give a fuck, I’m getting tickets. I’m a fan, I deserve. Fuck y’all, I deserve.”

Lizzo and SZA then started conjuring up ways to score Renaissance tickets, such as pretending to be backup dancers, managers or stage designers. The fandom oozing out of them falls in line with the sky-high demand for tickets for Beyoncé’s upcoming trek.
The 40-city arena tour begins overseas in Sweden on May 10, with subsequent European stops in the UK, France, Spain, Netherlands, Poland and Germany.
Bey will then return to North America in July for shows in Toronto, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and her hometown of Houston, among other cities.
