Kanye West has reminded fans of his production prowess by sharing a video of himself at work in the studio.

Posting the clip on Instagram alongside a caption which read “PRODUCER MAN,” the Chicago rap legend filmed himself cooking up a new song with a prominent sped-up soul sample reminiscent of his earlier work.

Ye can also be seen in the video toying around on an ASR-10 keyboard and perfecting the track, which sounds similar to “Preacher Man,” which he premiered during a show in China earlier this month.

The G.O.O.D. Music founder said during that concert that “Preacher Man” would be featured on his next project, but did not specify whether that was Vultures 3 or a separate solo album.

Kanye West’s Vultures collaborator Ty Dolla $ign recently confirmed that the duo were hard at work on the third album of their series, which has received much criticism for its lyrical content.

In a comment on producer 88-Keys’ Instagram Live, Ty wrote: “V3 bouta rip heads off.”

During Kanye’s performance in China, he also debuted another new song which prominently samples “A Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton, with Ty Dolla $ign singing the original lyrics.

While Ye’s vocals aren’t heard in the video, the track also features feral noises that were lifted from Skinbone’s viral parody remix of “A Thousand Miles” from 2018.

West has not yet revealed if the song is planned to feature on Vultures 3 or if it has a title.

The Yeezy boss also performed the still-unreleased “Everybody” which prominently samples the Backstreet Boys, accompanied by all four of his children who were seen holding hands as they walked on stage.

It is thought the song has not received an official release because of issues clearing the use of the boyband’s classic pop hit.

Following the success of their first China show, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have announced a second performance for later this month.

Kanye made the announcement on Instagram entirely in Mandarin, with a translation reading: “¥ Listening Party Haikou 2024 September 28.”

It is the same city they performed in earlier this month but it is not known if they will appear at the same venue as no specific location was announced.
