Nicki Minaj, who now has multiple tracks with Beyoncé, wrote on Twitter that she manifested her relationship with the R&B queen years before they ever linked up.
The Pinkprint lyricist tweeted that when she had penned her 2010 track “Girls Fall Like Dominoes” she hadn’t even met Beyoncé yet when she wrote the lyric, “I’m out in Paris, motherfucker, with Beyoncé.”
“When I wrote GFLD i didn’t have anything but an imagination & said ‘I’m out in Paris mthafka w|Beyonce,'” Nicki wrote. “Had never met her/spoken to her. No way I’d ever work w|her. Wrapping up my 3rd album #ThePinkprint she invited me to perform w|her for the very 1st time. In Paris.”
That first time was in 2014 when Nicki joined Bey for a performance of their joint song, “Flawless (Remix).” The show occurred four years after the release of Pink Friday.

Nicki’s reflective anecdote was due to Pink Friday reentering the iTunes Top 10 on Tuesday (April 26), 11 years after it dropped on November 22, 2010 via Young Money and Cash Money Records. The “Chun Li” spitter reacted to the occasion via a series of emojis on Twitter.
Pink Friday was Nicki’s first official album and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, selling 375,000 copies in its first week. This was the second-highest sales week for a female Hip Hop recording artist behind Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998. The project featured appearances from Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, will.i.am, Kanye West, and others and has since gone on to be certified 3x platinum by the RIAA.
