With the release of Jay-Z’s
tenth studio album, American Gangster,
set to release on November 6th, Sirius Satellite Radio has announced
that Hov will host his own radio show for the entire week (starting Monday,
November 5th).
The show, Jay-Z Nation,
will feature music from American Gangster
as well as older songs with exclusive Jay-Z
interludes and personal introductions. The show will also feature a live
playback of Jay’s upcoming House of
Blues performance in Chicago.
“Jay-Z is one of the
preeminent creative forces in the music industry. Over the last decade, he has
truly changed the face of hip hop and music culture. We are excited to have him
take over our airwarves and provide our listeners with this unique and
exclusive experience,” says SIRIUS President of Entertainment and Sports,
