and Rihanna pull away this year with
Justin taking the ‘Quadruple Threat of the Year’, ‘Male Artist of the Year’, ‘Best Choreography’ and ‘Best Direction’ while Rihanna took the ‘Monster Single of the Year’ and ‘Video of the Year’ (which was presented by legendary producer Dr. Dre) for her smash single Umbrella featuring Jay-Z.
Other awards went to Beyonce
& Shakira (‘Best Collaboration’) with Beautiful
Liar, Fergie (‘Female Artist of the Year’), Fall Out Boy (‘Best Group’), Gym Class
Heroes (‘Best New Artist’) and Gnarls Barkley(‘Best Editing’) for their hit Smiley
Faces.
The night wasn’t just about the awards as the performances came
from every inch of the building. From the “come back” of Britney Spears to the show stealing performance by Chris Brown with his singles Wall to Wall and Kiss Kiss, a collab with Rihanna and an jaw-dropping
Michael Jackson medley.

Gym Class Heroes (w/ Lil Wayne) and 50 Cent; a rare appearance from Dr. Dre and even a fight between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee;
this year will definitely be remembered.
