Recently HipHopDX
placed the first single, Open Letter to Obama,
from Jin’s upcoming LP, From This Day On, in our Audio Section.

A song is dedicated to Democratic Presidential nominee, Barrack Obama. Jin appreciates Obama
for being opposed to the war in Iraq from the start and for his “bipartisan ways.”

“I just want to craft
a record where I could express my personal point of view in regards to the
election and hopefully spark some interest in those who may not have any
intention of making their votes count … I think Obama brings a fresh new
perspective to the current state of political affairs. The upcoming election in
particular is a great opportunity for many within and outside the hip hop
community to make some changes that they are constantly seeking,”
Jin said. “I turn 25 this year so I definitely want to take this gift of making
music and use it in a more meaningful manner.”

The single will be available on iTunes soon and a portion of
the proceeds will be donated to Obama’s
campaign.
