Lil Twist, an artist signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money Records imprint, was freed from jail Wednesday after pleading no contest to six felony charges last November. Twist, born Christopher Moore, was charged with the 2014 assault and robbery of former Nickelodeon child actor, Chris Massey.
Twist’s legal troubles began back in November 2014 when he allegedly broke into the apartment of Massey’s brother, former That’s So Raven actor, Kyle Massey. According to reports at the time of the event, Twist was said to have beat up Chris Massey and stole a Rolex watch. The 24-year-old rapper was charged with burglary, making criminal threats, grand theft, battery and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
The Dallas native served just over seven months of his 1-year sentence he was hit with last November, although he was facing a potential 25 years had he been found guilty on all charges. Twist posted a photo to his Instagram page the day he was freed, and another photo the following day expressing his gratitude.
Lil Twist’s last mixtape, Anger Management, was released last August.
