The 2015 version of 93.5 KDAY’s Fresh Fest is slated to take place at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and recently released was the event’s line-up. It doesn’t disappoint.

Recently speaking with HipHopDX about the fifth annual gathering, the fest’s organizer, AD described the lineup and a little about its history. He also explained why the event decided to include Ja Rule.

“People got to understand, Ja Rule had a lot of hits and at that time, in the early 2000s, Ja Rule dominated radio and KDAY is a station that plays back-in-the-day hits,” he said via a segment of today’s (August 4) DX Daily. “Ja Rule on the show, we’re excited, the feedback’s been great now that he and 50 Cent have gotten back into it online.”

The annual festival began in 2010 and featured an all old school format. This year’s edition will happen on September 25 and is slated to feature Too $hort, Mystikal, Kurupt, Twista and Juvenile, among others. Tickets can be purchased here.
