Taking to Instagram on a couple of occasions over the past week to tease the record, Gucci shared some clips of him recreating memorable looks and nostalgic moments from throughout his career.
One clip sees him remaking a scene from 2007 fan-favorite “Kick A Door,” while another uses audio from when he famously explained the art of having “sauce” to NOISEY.

“Even when I had no money, I still had Sauce,” he philosophized. “If you don’t got any sauce, then ya lost. But you can also get lost in the sauce. Bitches, a bitch gon’ get lost in the sauce, mane. I’m sprinkling sauce, dropping sauce as we sleep, man. Overdose on sauce.”
Fans and friends of Gucci Mane are looking forward to the return of ’06 Gucci, with Busta Rhymes, Lil Baby, Tay Keith, Mike WiLL Made-It, and more flooding the comment section of Guwop’s posts.
Gucci Mane’s ’06 persona found him in his mid-20s and at a wild stage of his career. As his music was exploding in the underground, he couldn’t escape a number of legal troubles.
In May 2005, Gucci shot and killed Pookie Loc during a home invasion while he was visiting a female friend, which ignited his feud with Jeezy. The murder charge was eventually dropped in January 2006 due to a lack of evidence.
He was released from jail shortly after while subsequently serving a six-month county sentence for the aggravated assault of a nightclub promoter. Gucci went on to release his sophomore album Hard 2 Kill in 2006, which peaked at No. 76 on the Billboard 200.
Gucci Mane completely transformed his body following his release from prison in 2016 as he dedicated himself to fitness and kicked the lean cup and is now living a sober lifestyle.
