Drake has trolled Fred VanVleet following his departure from the Toronto Raptors after seven seasons with the franchise.
According to ESPN, VanVleet inked a lucrative three-year contract with the Houston Rockets for $130 million on Friday (June 30) as the NBA’s free agency period opened.

The 6 God hopped into VanVleet’s comment section under the heartfelt post of the 2019 NBA champion penning his goodbye to the fans of the lone NBA team located north of the border over the weekend.
“My look alike,” Drake wrote. “The love is forever thank you for your character and your contributions over the years the city will never forget!!! Good luck with everything on the Guangdong Dragons……..I mean the Rockets!”
Sporting a similar body frame, skin tone and beard, fans have often jokingly compared the 6 God and the hooper.
VanVleet went undrafted in 2016 and has worked his way to earning a seven-figure contract. FVV’s Raptors tenure ends with a championship in 2019 and an NBA All-Star Game appearance in 2022.
The point guard finishes his career with Toronto with averages of just under 15 points per game and five assists a night.
With VanVleet heading south to join the Houston Rockets, the Raptors pivoted to signing former Laker Dennis Schroder to a two-year deal for $26 million to help replace FVV.
Drake was relentless as a fan during the Raptors’ 2019 championship run to the point it gave former Philadelphia 76ers owner Michael Rubin nightmares after Toronto eliminated Philly on their way to the title.

“My worst memory of Drake is in the middle of Game 7 of the playoffs, he sends me a picture of himself wearing Sixers shorts. He said, ‘I’m coming for you,’” Rubin recalled of the war with Drake’s Raptors.
“As soon as I saw him in Sixers shorts, I said, ‘We’re losing this fucking game.’ That jinx-ass muthafucka,” he added, referencing the so-called “Drake Curse.” “Just put on these shorts and I knew it was a wrap.

“By the way, I’ve never seen someone FaceTime me more times and me ignore him more than after that game. He had no chill. We had just lost [to Kawhi’s shot] and he FaceTimed every two seconds. I just never picked up. I just went home depressed.”
