Cardi B has confirmed that one of the hottest rappers out is part of her family tree.
During an interview with Big Boy released on Friday (March 15), Bardi shared that GloRilla is, as the Memphis rapper had mentioned offhandedly back in 2022, her cousin.

The topic came up because Big Boy was teasing Cardi for not admitting to him in a prior talk that she had done a song with Shakira when the veteran DJ asked her about it.
“Did you do [a song] with GloRilla because she’s a liar as well?” he jokingly asked, referencing their hit collaboration “Tomorrow 2.”

“I didn’t lie!” Cardi responded. “That’s my cousin!”
Cardi then broke down their familial connection, saying that her grandfather, who she claimed “used to push weight,” had at one point lived in Tennessee — for reasons, she implied, related to that business.
“[H]e didn’t really told my grandma that he was dealing with somebody over there,” she explained. “He had a kid out there, and that’s GloRilla’s dad. So that’s what make us related.”
The New York MC went on to explain that she and Glo had only discovered the connection after they met and realized they had a lot in common.

“I asked her, ‘You just feel like we’re too much alike? You get my jokes and everything,'” Cardi continued.
“She’s just like, ‘Yeah. There’s something funny. Something really weird.’ So we just [started asking around].”

Cardi isn’t GloRilla’s only notable rap relative, as it turns out. Just last month, the “F.N.F.” hitmaker revealed that she’s also family with Lil Uzi Vert.
During an appearance on the Past Your Bedtime podcast, the 24-year-old shared that she and Uzi are related.
“That’s my cousin,” she said when asked about the Philadelphia rapper, much to the shock of host Fannita Leggett. “Yeah, that’s my real cousin.”

When Leggett quizzed GloRilla why she and Uzi have yet to release a song together, she replied: “We actually working on it. We had started. We gon’ get it together. Well, we never started on a song but we gotta get it together.”
