Cam’ron is apparently looking to bolster the lineup on his and Ma$e‘s sports talk show, and the new addition might just be a former NBA pro.
Killa posted a video on Instagram on Wednesday (November 1) of him hinting at landing a “big signing” for It Is What It Is while making his way across the tarmac to jump on a plane.

“You already know, we about to get this meeting done,” Cam says in the clip. “It’s probably gonna be the biggest signing to the It Is What It Is team […] The signing today is gonna be crazy.”
It’s unclear who exactly he’s recruiting, but in the second slide of his post, Cam’ron can be seen chopping it up with some New York City basketball royalty in Mark Jackson and Metta Sandiford-Artest (f.k.a. Ron Artest f.k.a. Metta World Peace).
Jackson and Artest are both New York City natives who stayed home to play at St. John’s in college and had stints playing for the New York Knicks.
Jackson was laid off at ESPN earlier this year and has a lot more time on his hands to possibly contribute to Cam’s show. He’ll also be filling in for the great Walt Frazier as the color analyst on the Knicks’ MSG broadcasts throughout the 2023-2024 season.

As for Ron Artest, the former NBA Defensive Player of the Year has been out of the league since 2017, with his last stint coming with the Los Angeles Lakers (who he won a championship with in 2010).
Both would make great additions to the NBA coverage for It Is What It Is with the regular season now in full swing. They’d join fellow celebrity analyst O.J. Simpson, who has been offering weekly commentary when it comes to the NFL.

In other news, Cam’ron recently upset NBA super-agent Rich Paul with his harsh criticism of Lakers superstar Anthony Davis.
“Shout-out to my man Rich Paul. Whoever is Rich Paul’s clients, you guys should feel very lucky. He doesn’t let nothing slide,” Cam said during a recent episode of the show. “He’s very passionate about his clients. He’ll call and try to check you about his clients.
“He texted me like, ‘Y’all kinda went hard on Anthony Davis the other day.’ Just in case y’all missed the episode, there was a statement where LeBron said, ‘This is the year they want to hand the team over to Anthony Davis.’ And we up here and we made a little fun of Anthony Davis.”

He continued: “Rich texted me, ‘You guys went hard on Anthony Davis that was a little crazy.’ And I texted Rich Paul back that’s my man you know we Ohio and all that. I texted him back, ‘Yo Rich listen, maybe I’m on the outside looking in, but I thought that was the whole reason he left New Orleans anyway.
“He got to the Lakers and I thought that was LeBron saying, ‘Okay cool, I got somebody young on the team,’” the Dipset rapper added. “I can defer to him and this is a four-year project that hasn’t taken the team over and I relayed that to Rich.

“I thought that was the plan from the jump to give him the team and LeBron is about to be 39 and we still have to go about LeBron giving him the team. LeBron been ready to defer and give him the team.”
Cam also revealed that Paul had agreed to come on the show at a later date so they can hash it out for the cameras.
