The Alchemist has revealed which rap legend he still wants to work with that he hasnât crossed paths with yet.
While the storied producer has collaborated with some of the biggest names past and present in Hip Hop such as Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Mobb Deep, heâs still yet to tick off one notable name.

Speaking with Cardo on the NFR Podcast, The Alchemist said: âJay always been on my list. I been saying it for a hundred years. Itâs JAY-Z. I would love to. We linked but I keep the faith.
âAt this point, I hope it would be a mutual thing, like I would want to work with somebody that would wanna work with me. Thereâs a couple thatâs brewing thatâs like bucket list shit for me that I hope happens. I still have hopes like that.â

Despite not outright producing a JAY-Z song, The Alchemist was behind âThe Neverending Storyâ from Jay Electronicaâs A Written Testimony album in 2020, which he featured on.
During an episode of A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal in 2015, the producer recalled running into the Roc-A-Fella crew at a club in downtown New York in the early 2000s, where Kareem Biggs Burke introduced him to Jay.
The Alchemist revealed JAY-Z surprisingly told him to âstop wastingâ his beats.
âHe leaned in my ear and was like, âYo, when you gonna stop wasting them beats?ââ he recalled. âAnd it was ill because it was very confident and he wasnât trying to be funny, he just deadass. Like, that was the first thing he said to me. I looked at him and he was like serious, it threw me for a loop.
