50 Cent seemingly ended his touring days with his aptly-named Final Lap Tour, but in a new interview he hints that his performing days may not be over after all.
In a profile in Haute Livingpublished on Thursday (September 5), the G-Unit general responds to the possibility of putting together a residency in Las Vegas. His initial thoughts are skeptical.

“How much of a residency can I commit to when I have multiple film projects coming?” he asks. “Not just the television stuff, but opportunities for me to star in feature films, too. I’m having success in film; my career in television mirrors my music career.
“My first television show [Power] is the largest show on the network; I’m able to develop spinoff shows and turn this into a 10-year anniversary, and it’s now the number one program in African American and Latino households. So, [now in particular] I have to seriously balance out and schedule things.”

But when the writer mentions that a typical model for Vegas residencies is to have shows spaced out weeks or months apart from each other, Fif’ changes his tune.
“That would actually be fun; that would work for me to do it that way,” he responds.

While he’s mulling over his performing future, 50 is also reflecting on the recent past.
Stopping by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote his new book on Wednesday (Sept 4), Fif’ remembered a 2023 Final Lap tour stop in Kazakhastan where his rapturous treatment made him feel like Michael Jackson.
It’s unbelievable. They don’t know I’m not Michael Jackson,” he joked. “It was so cool. It was unbelievable, Stephen. They chased the car like I’m Michael Jackson and shit. It was crazy.”
While Michael Jackson may no longer be with us, 50 Cent sees a lot of the late superstar in Chris Brown.

Last fall, Fif shared a painting of MJ bestowing a crown on Chris, calling the latter the “best shit we got” in his caption.
“I like this, I want a painting like this in black and white,” 50 Cent wrote. “@chrisbrownofficial is really the best shit we got out here, but nobody will say it so I gotta say it.”
