Dame Dash has hit back at 50 Cent‘s claim that he’s broke by flexing his six-figure child support bill.

The embattled Roc-A-Fella co-founder gave a lengthy interview for his America Nu Network on Thursday (September 5) in which he defend himself against Fif’s financial taunt.

Dame began by criticizing 50’s penchant for “tearing down” other Hip Hop figures such as Irv Gotti, suggesting that he’s “doing the work” for “people from other cultures.”

He then urged the media mogul to work with his peers in the TV industry instead of “trying to go against” them and pass on both knowledge and resources for those looking to get ahead in the game.

Dash later refuted recent comments made by the G-Unit boss on Million Dollaz Worth of Game that he “has no money” and pulled out receipts.

“If you know someone and they’re making $250,000 a year, would you say they were broke?” he asked rhetorically. “My child support since 2007 has collectively, with school and camp, [has been] $250,000 a year — that’s what my children get. You know, ’cause I’m broke.

“All my children, when they go to college, they don’t have any debt. I’ve paid for all of their colleges upfront. Because, of course, that’s what someone that’s broke would do.

“When they take your child support, they charge it based on how much money you were making. We’ve been through a recession, we’ve been through a pandemic, y’all see the tax problems I have. But my children have still been able to get $250,000 a year.

“When things go bad, you have to go to court and say, ‘Look, I’m not having such a good year. I need a downward modification.’ I’ve never had the luxury of a downward modification because I never wanted my children to be affected by how reckless I might be in business.”

Dame Dash’s financial troubles are no secret. Later this month, the Harlem native will auction off his one-third ownership stake of Roc-A-Fella Records to settle an $823,000 lawsuit judgement to filmmaker Josh Webber.

According to Billboard, the proceeds of the sale will also go towards covering $197,000 in unpaid child support payments he owes, as well as an $8.7 million tax debt.

In a legal filing earlier this year, he claimed that he made just $5,140 for all of 2022 in hopes of lowering his $3,000-a-month child support payments to $428.

Dame recently opened up about the state of his finances on Instagram Live, saying: “Somebody asked me how I got so broke. Investing in my dreams. When you’re investing in your dreams and you dream big, you’re always gonna be broke. You’ll have a lot of shit, but I don’t have no money for nobody else. If that’s what you call broke. But that’s what it is.”

As for 50 Cent’s taunt, Dash has also challenged the Queens, New York native to a “CEO war,” urging him to put his 50 Cent Action television channel up against his own America Nu Network and let fans decide which is better.
