50 Cent has called the new generation of rappers “crazy” after sharing a song from NLE Choppa on which the 20-year-old raps about YNW Melly‘s alleged shooting.
The G-Unit mogul took to Instagram to share a clip from Choppa’s Me Vs. Me cut “Shotta Flow 6,” where Choppa raps that he “turns into” Melly whenever he feels he’s being threatened by the opposition.

“Assaulted a cop when a n-gga was seven/ When I turned 11, I turned to a felon/ My n-gga was snakin’, I knew I could smell it/ When I’m feelin’ threatened, I turn into Melly/ Free Melly/ One pop, we pop, we made him drop,” Choppa raps.
Yo these little [nina emoji]’s crazy, LOL WTF!” 50 Cent captioned the clip.
Equally as shocked fans slid into 50 Cent’s comment section, with one writing: “N-gga just snitched and paid homage at the same time.”
“Boy Just Got That Man Life,” added another, while a third wrote: “This new generation be doing the work for the police. Never seen no shit like this smh.”
50 Cent’s comments might have actually meant to be a compliment, as he previously recruited Choppa to assist him and R&B singer Rileyy Lanez on the Power Book III: Raising Kanan single “Part Of The Game” back in 2021.
The “Walk Em Down” rapper reflected on working with the Queens legend in an interview with Fox, and said it was a “beautiful” experience.

“It was beautiful,” he said. “I’m just really thankful for the opportunity. He just hit me up like, ‘I got this song for this TV show.’ I knew I had to step up to the plate and deliver on that one. I said I can’t half-step or nothing. I was just blessed with the opportunity 0f working with a legend.”
“Shotta Flow 6” appeared on Me Vs. Me, which dropped in January and features appearances from G Herbo, Young Thug, Polo G and Moneybagg Yo. According to HITS Daily Double, the album moved around 20,000 copies its first week, which equaled out to a No. 16 debut on the Billboard 200.
Choppa claimed this placement as a major victory at the time considering Me Vs. Me is a mixtape and not an album. “Big W, My first Album Sold 36K First Week And Is Now Currently GOLD,” he wrote in response to a tweet from Akademiks reporting his sales projections. “This Is A Mixtape I’m Grateful For What I Have I’m In Competition With No One This Is Perfect For Me My Plaque Still Coming, Watch.”
As for YNW Melly, the rapper’s ongoing murder trial has continued to reveal some stunning bombshells in recent weeks. On Tuesday (July 18), lead Detective Joseph T. Moretti took the stand and confirmed that he threatened YNW Melly’s manager Jameson “100K Track” Francois with deportation and imprisonment following the shooting.
