Chicago, Illinois native Vic Mensa initially began his career as part of former group Kids These Days. Eventually parting ways with the group, in 2013 Vic Mensa released his debut mixtape called Innanetape. Quickly rising to prominence, Vic Mensa was featured as part of 2014’s XXL Freshman Class. In 2015, Mensa signed to Roc Nation and released the Kanye West collaboration, “U Mad.” In 2016 Vic Mensa gifted fans his next EP, There’s A Lot Going On, which debuted at 127 via the US Billboard 200. In 2017 Mensa released his debut studio album The Autobiography and it debuted at 27 on the US Billboard 200 as well. Through the success, Vic Mensa formed a punk rock/rap group called 93Punx and released a solo EP called V Tape in 2020.
