Iman Europe recently moved back to Los Angeles from New York and took a road trip to Oakland. While there, she fell in love with the place so much that she made this track “Oakland,” an ode to The Town. Iman and friends documented the whole journey, tour stops, shenanigans, and all, which you can see in the video above.
“I wanted to do something different with this video. My main goal was to portray the energy and community they have here in Oakland (which is so rare), as well as the reason I fell in love with this place. I pitched my idea to Luis Montoya, a Bay native of Simphony Productions and he helped bring the video to life. The beat is produced by my in-house producer, Che, who is also a Bay native.” – Iman Europe
