Marvelous Mag’s second mixtape, Ode To J.Dilla aka Donuts For Dilla takes you through a sonic journey from the past using only beats by J.Dilla to commemorate the legendary late producer/emcee. The first track is an amazing mix to Slum Village’s “Look Of Love” which was very well orchestrated, and features Planet Asia which gives the mixtape a very strong start. Marvelous is new in the Hiphop scene, but started rhyming seven years ago which has enabled him to discover his lane—he’s got two of them.
Marvelous Mag has mastered those slow melodic flows with the laid back beat patterns, which is his “Marvelous” side, like in “Quest To Grow” featuring SmooVth. On the flip side of the coin, you find his other side, “Mag”—the dirty, darker and more street side of the emcee. “When I Was Bad” and “Fall Back” are two tracks on the mix brought to you by his more rugged style.
Find more on Marvelous Mag on YouTube—in “Gorgeous,” we not only get a glimpse on his acting skills, but the ladies also get a look at his cute dimples! Prior to Ode To J.Dilla, we have “New York Minute” which is from his first mixtape, Marvelous Magic Johnson.
