Yung Joc has been weighing in on a lot of topics as of late, and the latest is the pending divorce between Jeezy and his wife Jeannie Mai.
The outspoken rapper touched on the topic amid his latest sit-down with Vlad TV published on Tuesday (October 24). In so many words, Joc said he feels Jeezy married the talk show host because he liked her submissive nature and felt she’d be great for a power couple, but ultimately realized he needed differently.

“I’m not [surprised.] He may have married her because of her core values,” he began. “It’s certain things that she will not do because of her family. That’s the reason he was willing to buy into that and tie into that. See, gotta get off the surface n-gga. The surface looks good but we know underneath the surface, it be other stories going on.”
He continued: “Let’s break it down. It’s Jeezy. I ain’t taking nothing from his wife Jeannie Mai, she’s a beautiful woman. [But] it’s Jeezy, n-gga. This n-gga could have had any [woman]. It’s Jeezy … This n-gga out here living his life and come home to probably some little calm or what he want to be calm… and it might not turned out to be what he thought it was. And vice versa!”

In a press release that dropped on Thursday (October 19), Jeezy finally broke his silence about his split from Jeannie Mai, emphasizing that their priority was the well-being of their daughter.
“The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart,” he said. “Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”

While the couple is still reportedly living together, Mai shared a subliminal message to Instagram about how she needs to take time to breathe which could be tied to her fractured relationship with the “Put On” hitmaker.
“Sometimes you need to take a break and disconnect to heal,” she wrote in a notepad captioned with a black heart emoji.
Jeannie Mai received a ton of love and support from friends, family and fans in her comment section looking to uplift her during this turbulent time.
“You don’t owe us anything, not a word, not a video, not a photo/selfie. Nothing! Release that pressure and just live to His expectation… no one else’s! Bless,” one person wrote, while another added: “Do what you need for you and yours. As long as you need. Love you Sis!”
