Young Thug appears to be growing increasingly weary of the ongoing YSL RICO trial, which has now become the longest in Georgia’s history.

In a viral post from the proceedings on Wednesday (August 7) – which marks day 107 of the trial – Thugger can be seen seemingly snoozing in his seat as his lawyer Brian Steel spoke to Judge Paige Reese Whitaker.

In an apparent attempt to broaden his voter base, Donald Trump appeared on Adin Ross’ Kick channel on Monday (August 5) and spoke with the popular streamer for over an hour about a variety of things, including Young Thug’s situation.

“I hear Young Thug is being treated — I heard it from other people where they say he’s being treated very unfairly. So he’s gotta be treated fairly,” Trump said.

Amid the many mishaps and delays, Thug and his legal team last month filed for a mistrial as well as a request to be released on bond – but both were shot down by the new judge.

The mistrial request was filed by Thug’s lawyer based on the original judge’s finding that his own controversial ex parte hearing was not improper. Whitaker said that declaring a mistrial for that reason would be equivalent to acting as an appeals court, which is beyond the scope of her responsibilities.

In the case of bond for Thug, she ruled that recent events do not constitute a “change in circumstances,” noting that Judge Ural Glanville was not removed because he was biased.

Glanville, who had been overseeing the trial since it started, was removed on July 15 after he met with prosecutors and state witness Kenneth Copeland without the knowledge of Thug and his legal team.

He was then replaced by Judge Shakura Ingram – who then recused herself on July 17 because of a romantic relationship her former courthouse deputy had with a co-defendant in the case. Whitaker was named as the new judge that same day.
