Young Dolph was shot and killed back in late 2021, and now a person whom law enforcement considered a “person of interest” in the Memphis rapper’s murder case has been murdered.
According to ABC’s Memphis affiliate, ABC24, Joshua Taylor was found dead on Wednesday (June 15) on the corner of Spottswood Avenue and Buntyn Street in the Orange Mound district of Memphis, TN.

While Memphis police have no leads, they believe Taylor was initially killed on Tuesday (June 14) night. Police are asking for the public’s help to identify his potential killer or killers.
In addition to being named a “person of interest” in the Young Dolph murder, Taylor was also wanted on a variety of charges, including weapons and theft charges.
Taylor, who also went by the name “CEO Teezy,” was first named as a person of interest in Dolph’s murder back in February 2022, alongside Devin Burns.
At the time, Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith were arrested after they were named the prime shooters of Young Dolph, who was killed inside of Makeda’s Homemade Cookies on November 17, 2021.

Both Smith and Johnson were given ultimatums to find lawyers to defend them, and according to court documents, Smith obtained a lawyer while Johnson was appointed one.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Jemarcus Johnson, 26 — who was accused of helping his brother Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith evade police capture after Young Dolph’s murder — pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit first-degree murder on Friday (June 9).
He also admitted to taking possession of his brother’s cell phone and car so authorities would not think Justin was in Memphis.
“Conspiracy is a wide range of things,” Shelby County prosecutor Paul Hagerman said in court on Friday. “They include people that were acting in the conspiracy before the murder happened. But also the people that were acting afterward. The charges that have been filed now against Jemarcus make it clear that he did things afterwards.”

Jemarcus Johnson’s guilty plea comes after it was revealed his brother Justin was caught with drugs and a cell phone in jail earlier this month while held in the Shelby County Jail.
Meanwhile, Young Dolph’s first posthumous album Paper Route Frank was released in December 2022. The project consists of 13 tracks with features from 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Key Glock, Big Moochie Grape and Snupe Bandz.
