XXXTENTACION‘s “Look At Me!” cover star Zachary Stoddard has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted of attempted murder.

Stoddard agreed a plea deal in which he pleaded no contest to attempted second-degree murder and battery in relation to the 2019 stabbing of Keith Tatton.

After serving his 10-year-sentence, Stoddard will still be subject to two years of house arrest and three years of probation.

The incident, which was captured on camera, began when a number of friends tried to leave the then-16-year-old Stoddard behind when they went to a restaurant, leading to a fight and the teen stabbing Tatton several times.

Stoddard was only 12 years old when he appeared on the cover art for XXXTENTACTION’s breakout single “Look at Me!” in December 2015.

The image used on the cover is of a pre-teen Stoddard with a joint shoved up one of his nostrils.

Stoddard was also an aspiring rapper who went by the moniker KidPronto and was an associated of X due to being from the same area.

X obtained the photo due to Stoddard posting it in a group chat they were both in.

Stoddard has previously discussed the origins of the viral photo, telling Complex in 2020: “I was smoking, and I just put it in my nose, took a picture, and sent it to the group chat as a joke.

“We were just playing, and X was like, ‘I’m going to use this as my next song cover.’ He wasn’t big or anything back then, so I didn’t really think nothing of it.”

Stoddard was also in prison when XXXTENTACION was killed during a robbery in the summer of 2018 after previously being on the run from the law.

He said he lived with X during this period: “When [X] got out of jail, I had a warrant for my arrest, so I pulled up to his show, and he already knew the situation with me. So he was like, ‘All right, I’m going to make sure you’re good. I’m going to let you stay at my crib for a minute.’”
