Wale has revealed he’s avoiding all FaceTime calls due to his “introverted” nature.
On Tuesday (March 28), the D.C. rapper took to his Instagram Story with a message for anyone trying to video call him on his phone.

The 38-year-old made it loud and clear he won’t be answering anyone’s FaceTime calls going forward as his introverted nature has become “overwhelmed.”
“Don’t ever FaceTime me. Please and thank u,” Wale wrote. “My phone broke even if it’s new it’s broke ..FaceTime don’t work. Thank you Sincerely, overwhelmed Introvert.”

In another IG Story, Wale shared a meme doubling down on his anti-FaceTime stance. “Should I call you or should we quickly resolve this with 200 text messages,” the post read, with the rapper adding a black moon emoji to signal his sarcasm.

These days, FaceTime calls are one of the most prevalent forms of communication and allow people to see each other without physically being in the same space. It’s a playground for extroverts; for introverts like Wale, however, it can cause a great deal of anxiety.
The Folarin rapper has kept a low profile in 2023 so far following a somewhat busy year in 2022. The DMV native not only re-released his 2010 mixtape More About Nothing on streaming services, but leveled up his budding acting career by appearing in his first feature film, Ambulance.

Directed by Michael Bay and also starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Eiza González, the action thriller follows two adoptive siblings-turned-bank robbers who hijack an ambulance and take two first responders hostage.
Wale — whose previous acting credits include roles in the STARZ series American Gods and the film DC Noir — plays a supporting character name Castro.
In a sneak peek shared on Instagram last year, the rapper could be seen squatting in front of an ambulance wearing a dark blue jumpsuit and light green beanie underneath one of Los Angeles’ graffiti-covered bridges.
“It’s like learning to ride a bike and the next day, they put you in the Daytona 500,” he said of being cast in Ambulance during an interview with XXL. “It’s like literally learning how to be on a big wheel and the next day it’s like, ‘Now, drive a car!’

“I’m just really, really, really blessed to be able to work with Yaya and Jake Gyllenhaal. I never had no freak-out moments because these actors, they know how to talk to n-ggas. Michael would spazz on everybody and my energy’s off and Yaya would give me this look like, ‘You got it, bro! Come on, n-gga!’ Everybody was so fucking nice.”
