“I’m working, I’m close. I’m trying to put something out,” he said. “I got Europe in June, so I’m going to try to put something out before I go out there.”
When pressed by Big Boy if his new project will arrive before he hits the road, Vince confirmed: “Yeah, for sure.”
His comments can be seen at the 18:27 mark below.
The Long Beach native previously hinted that he’ll be releasing new music this year. In an Instagram post back in January, he simply wrote: “Vince Staples Music 2024″ alongside a screenshot of a text exchange with a friend.
The messages sent to him read: “If you’re hungry, and at the studio we down the street frying chitlins.”

As for his summer tour, dubbed the Black In Europa Tour, Vince is set to play nine shows in Europe in June, beginning on June 4 in Cologne, Germany and wrapping up on June 15 in Barcelona, Spain.
In between are dates in Berlin, Paris, London, Manchester and Birmingham, among other cities. It marks the rapper’s first headlining tour in five years.
In that time, Vince has continued to establish himself as one of the best storytellers in Hip Hop. His last album, Ramona Park Broke My Heart, arrived in 2022 and was met with critical acclaim, earning a 4 out of 5 score from HipHopDX.
In a positive review, writer Mathew Ritchie praised Vince’s brutally realistic rhymes and “bare-faced emotionality,” as well as the album’s cohesive, West Coast-flavored production.

The 30-year-old has also leveled up outside of music, with his self-titled TV show debuting on Netflix to similar acclaim earlier this year.
The five-episode comedy drama, written by and starring Vince, has been hailed as “the best show on Earth” by N.O.R.E., while fellow rap veteran Killer Mike crowned its creator a “genius.”
