Tyler, The Creator is set to make his big screen debut, and will do so alongside heavy hitters Gwyneth Paltrow and Timothée Chalamet.

According to a report from Deadline on Monday (September 16), the Los Angeles native has been cast in the forthcoming film Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie. While details about the plot have yet to be released, it’s reportedly inspired by the story of pro ping pong player Marty Reisman, who was “known for his flamboyant style and exceptional skill.”

Though this will be the first movie for Tyler, he previously co-created and starred in the Adult Swim comedy skit show Loiter Squad, hosted the Viceland show Nuts & Bolts and created and wrote for the Adult Swim animated series The Jellies!

Ever the multi-hyphenate, Tyler, The Creator launched a new line of shoes with Converse earlier this year as their ongoing partnership enters its next phase.

The footwear and apparel company joined forces with the California native’s Golf le Fleur brand to rework their classic Chuck 70 low-tops into four new designs. While all the items featured the same print — pixel blocks scattered like leopard spots — they were all offered in the following colors: green; pink and red; white and blue; multicolored.

Each pair was listed for $120, and they all sold out in record time.

He also seems to have something in the works with Supreme, and though it appears to be more than just a one-time photoshoot, fans are just not quite sure what yet.

An overwhelming sentiment in Supreme’s Instagram comments finds people speculating Tyler may be their new creative director, as the position is wide open since Tremaine Emory left the role last year. Nothing has been confirmed, however.

On the music side of things, Tyler, The Creator is approaching a major milestone in his career, and he is all set to celebrate it with his fans in Southern California.

The 33-year-old’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival has taken place every year since its inception in 2012, with the exception of 2020 to 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In June, he announced that the festival will return to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for the 10th time this November, though he has yet to unveil the lineup. Tickets are available now here.
