Tyler, The Creator has some words for the Taylor Swift fans who have recently been bringing up his old lyrics in an effort to cancel him.
Following the release of his new album Chromakopia on Monday (October 28), Tyler pushed Swift out of the No. 1 position on the global Spotify Top Artist chart for three days – which ended her 698-day run in the top spot.

Apparently unhappy with this turn of events, Swifties began digging through Tyler’s older lyrics and circulating them on social media to try to cancel him – but he’s not having it.
While performing a special show for fans atop the Converse store on Halloween (October 31), Tyler defiantly brushed the Taylor fans off.

“I got Swifties all mad at me with they racist ass,” he said to cheers from the crowd. “Bringing up old lyrics. Bitch go listen to ‘Tron Cat.’ I don’t give a fuck, hoe. The fuck, bitch! They gon’ bring out the old me.”

“Tron Cat” is a song from Tyler, The Creator’s 2011 debut studio album Goblin, where he raps, among other things, “Rape a pregnant bitch and tell my friends I had a threesome.”
Elsewhere on that same album, he mentions Taylor Swift more than once.

On “Fish,” he raps: “Bitches running ’round down, pussy take a trip/Make her strip, got my dick harder than the unzip/Tyler swiftly slips his dick inside of Taylor Swift’s slit.”
And on “Nightmare,” he raps: “My father called me to tell me he loved me/I’d have a better chance of gettin’ Taylor Swift to fuck me.”

During this era, Tyler’s sound was defined as horrorcore rap, which as the label and aforementioned lyrics suggest, was filled with jarring bars.
He’s since evolved his sound and is now regarded as one of today’s best lyricists, as evidenced by the recent success of Chromakopia.

The album is poised to debut atop next week’s Billboard 200 chart – despite only having half the usual tracking week because Tyler released it on a Monday instead of the previous Friday. The LP is also expected to garner the biggest first-week sales of his career.
According to HITS Daily Double, Chromakopia is on track to earn least 250,000 equivalent units in its opening week, with it being estimated that the number could go as high as 300,000 before final numbers are tallied.

As it stands, Tyler would top the Billboard 200 by a large margin ahead of Halsey’s new album The Great Impersonator, which is projected to move around 90,000 units.
If Chromakopia debuts at number one, it would be the first time in 2024 that one rap album has replaced another at the top of the chart with Yeat‘s Lifestyle the incumbent chart-topper.
Chromakopia will also become just the sixth Hip Hop album this year to top the Billboard 200 and boast one of the highest first-week sales of any rap album in 2024.
If it comes in at the higher end of its estimate, only the commercial release of Travis Scott‘s decade-old mixtape Days Before Rodeo (361,000) will have had a bigger tally.

As far as Tyler’s catalog goes, Chromakopia will eclipse the first-week sales of all of his previous albums including Call Me If You Get Lost (169,000) and IGOR (165,000), both of which went number one.
