Fans in the comments section of a Neighborhood Talk repost were overwhelmingly impressed and took the time to remind one another that Lil Wayne didn’t just sign him for no reason.
“One thing with Wayne everyone on his team was lyrical. You had to be able to actually rap to be in young money,” one person wrote, while another added: “Tyga is very slept on ! He has consistently gave us summer hits ! Idc he found his lane and thrived ! And bro vibe always immaculate!”
“Someone said Tyga was the lil baby of 10 years ago…… can’t say I disagree,” a third person said, while someone else added: “Tyga flow is crazy stop playing with that boy!”
Tyga and YG teamed up last month for a joint project, Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist. The 14-song effort features previously-released singles “Platinum,” “PARTy T1M3,” and “West Coast Weekend,” plus collaborations with Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes and Blxst.
The pair initially announced that the project would be accompanied by a tour dubbed the Str8 to the Klub Tour.
Set to feature Saweetie, Kamaiyah, Wallie the Sensei and DJ Vision, the 14-date North American tour was due to run from September 21 to November 22, with shows in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Dallas, Los Angeles and other cities.
