Turk has responded to fellow Hot Boys rapper B.G.‘s extensive criticism of him, admitting he doesn’t understand why he’s so angry.

While a full Hot Boys reunion seemed on the cards just a few weeks ago, things appear to be fizzling out as Turk and Lil Wayne failed to join the other members at the recent Cash Money anniversary celebration at Essence Festival.

The night of the festival, B.G. publicly hit out at Turk and alluded to the rapper’s absence being his own fault, saying: “The n-gga did a bunch of ho shit and can’t take it back […] The n-gga know what he did last summer.”

The “Bling Bling” hitmaker later compared Turk to Destiny’s Child outcast LeToya Luckett and claimed that he would not be “missed” if he was not involved with a Hot Boys reunion.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel on Wednesday (July 10), Turk hit back at his former groupmate’s disparaging comments.

“B.G. to me has been very disrespectful. If I really did anything to you, brother, I can’t see you holding back and saying what it is,” he said.

“I don’t know what it is, I can’t figure it out. I can’t put no light on a lie. Homie made a statement saying I know what I did last summer. I know what I did last summer.”

Turk then listed off some of the positive things he’s done towards B.G. in recent years while responding to his former collaborator’s claim they could stage a Hot Boys reunion without him.

“I never felt a Hot Boys reunion could be done without homie. Proof of that is every time we came together — for instance, LeBron James’ party,” he said. “LeBron James in the middle of his speech shouting out everybody. I’m like, ‘Hold up LeBron, free muthafucking B.G.!’

“I was doing these things because you can’t have a reunion without B.G. and I think I probably made a lot of people mad about that when I was doing it.”

Turk concluded by saying that when he recently spoke to B.G. on social media, he was under the belief that they were cool.

His conciliatory tone is markedly different to just a few days ago when he said he was no longer interested in joining the rest of the Hot Boys after not performing at Essence Festival.

“You n-ggas want that shit to come together ’cause you n-ggas fucked up outchea. I ain’t fucked up outchea. I’m blessed and highly favored by God. Y’all got me fucked up,” he said. “I’ll say fuck a Hot Boys tour, n-gga.

“Disrespect won’t be tolerated, n-gga. I don’t give a fuck who a n-gga is. Ain’t no Big I’s or Lil U’s over me, mane. B.G. better sit his muthafucking ass down somewhere, man. That n-gga don’t run shit round here — not with me.

“He might run that shit with you n-ggas. He don’t run that shit with me. He ain’t doing nothing but running his muthafucking mouth.”

Turk then slandered B.G.’s musical output, saying: “Them wack ass raps, man. That shit wack, n-gga. All you n-ggas dick riding ’round here, man. That shit wack.”
