Trina has revealed who she thinks is the most impressive female rapper in 2024.

The pioneering MC spoke with TMZ on Tuesday (October 15) to give her take on the current crop of women at the top of the rap game.

“I think it’s amazing that so many women are in the industry doing their thing,” she said. “You gotta give it up to them. They’re in the charts, they’re putting out dope records, dope albums, projects, collaborations. It’s a great thing to see. I’m loving the energy.”

Trina then revealed which female rapper has impressed her most this year: “I would definitely say GloRilla because she’s doing an amazing job. She’s on her second album, she’s been consistent, she just came off the tour with Meg [Thee Stallion].

“She’s really just making her mark. She’s handling her business and just constantly doing her thing. I would definitely say she has made a big impact.”

Trina is not the only established star to give GloRilla her flowers of late. In a recent interview with GQ, Beyoncé named the Memphis native as one of her current favorite artists.

“I love Doechii and GloRilla, and I just heard That Mexican OT, he’s from Houston…. He goes hard!” she said when asked who she’s been listening to lately.

Rihanna also outed herself as a fan of Big Glo when she pestered the 25-year-old for an update on her then-forthcoming album.

RiRi privately messaged GloRilla on Instagram saying: “You got all summer sis! I know dis wild hypocritical but when the album drop?”

Glo finally released her debut album Glorious last week, boasting a star-studded supporting cast including Megan Thee Stallion, Sexyy Red, Latto, T-Pain and more.
