Toosii has responded to trolls who questioned his sexuality due to his unique fashion choices and told the critics to “stop playing” with him.

The “Love Story” hitmaker took to Twitter on Sunday (June 11) after he shared photos of himself dressed as a cowboy at his son’s first birthday party, which prompted one user to suggest that he’s secretly gay.

In response, Toosii posted a video shutting down the fan’s suggestion and said any new look rappers show off is often seen as questionable simply because it’s new.

“Everything a n-gga do in this generation be fruity to y’all,” Toosii said. “Y’all see a n-gga in person and be ready to suck a n-gga’s dick, though. Fuck is you talkin’ ’bout? Stop playing with me while my son’s in my hand, bitch.”

Toosii isn’t the only rap star to face criticism for his fashion choices. Lil Baby was roasted last week for wearing a long, glittery shirt to Quality Control co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas’s birthday party, with some fans calling the 4PF leader a “Disney princess.”

Outside of his private life, Toosii is fresh off the release of his sophomore album Naujour, which arrived on June 2 and featured appearances from 21 Savage, Khalid and Future — the latter of whom added his toxic bravado to the remix of Toosii‘s newly-platinum hit single, “Same Song.”

Hitting streaming services last month, the updated version saw Hendrix telling his ex that he’d leave his new girl right now if she were to say anything bad about her — while also noting that he’s only with his new girl to get over his last.

“These bitches too smart to compete with you/ I’ma leave her right now if she mention you,” he sang. “Only fuckin’ on her just to get to you/ Only fuckin’ on her ’cause we’re missin’ you!

Toosii had been in the studio with Future multiple times since 2022 and spoke to HipHopDX late last year about what the experience was like for him.

“Being in the studio with someone like Future, you just gotta soak up the game and knowledge,” the North Carolina native said. When asked if it was at all intimidating to be sharing studio space with some of his idols, Toosii was confident yet honest.

“Nah, ’cause I grew up with my idols,” he replied. “My idols was my brother and my dad. I never really idolized nobody else outside of them. I idolize the people that I love and the people I was with every day. So I’ve never really been the type of person to idolize those outside my home.

“But, being around such successful and hardworking artists is a different feeling. It shows you how successful you can be if you just stay consistent.”
