Timbaland claims to have been so high on weed once that he began having visions of the late Michael Jackson, and not in a good way.

On Sunday (February 4), Timbo stopped by Million Dollaz Worth Of Game and talked about, among other things, one of his strangest experiences with marijuana.

“I had other trips where I thought Michael Jackson was coming after me from an edible,” the Virginia native told co-hosts Gillie Da Kid and Wallo. “This is when Michael Jackson died … I felt like, ‘What are you trying to tell me, Mike?’”

Timbaland then remembered another negative celebrity interaction while he was high, saying: “I remember I was in Amsterdam on tour — this guy put a bunch of weed in a cake. You know how when you wake up in the middle of the night, you’re hungry? I forgot that it was a weed cake.”

“I had Jamie Foxx from Miami Vice shooting at me. I heard the gunshot and said, ‘Oh, shit! They shooting at me.’ It was only me in the room!”

During the same interview, Timbo chronicled the out-of-body experience that helped him conquer his drug addiction, explaining: “I was addicted to drugs… heavy. Oxycontin,” he said before explaining that his addiction stemmed from a dentist prescribing him Vicodin for tooth pain.

“That Vicodin made me feel like superman! I needed it more. And I used to lie that my teeth was still hurting,” he admitted before crediting faith with helping the habit. “God showed myself getting out of my body, like an out-of-body experience. I saw myself dead on the bed out of my body … He just weaned me off.”

He has spoken about his addiction plenty of times in the past. In 2023, the 51-year-old credited Drake and JAY-Z for seeing him through the darkest times.

The super-producer stopped by Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe last May and detailed how the two rap icons helped him break through the throes of his addiction as he commended them for being unafraid to “check” him when things got scary.

“JAY-Z is a prophet,” he said. “God sent him. I ain’t never seen nobody like him. Hov actually raised me, and he don’t even know it. He raised me in the music business. He was so prolific, so wise beyond his age, that I was just amazed at just watching him. That’s why I had a different bond with Jay when it comes to my music. We was rewriting the Bible, in a way.”
