Tech N9ne has joined forces with the Kansas City Chiefs to help rally the team’s fans ahead of their home game on Christmas Eve.
The Strange Music boss blessed the Chiefs with a new track titled “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” a rallying cry that serves both to inspire Kansas City fans and warn their opposition. The song hears Tech N9ne name check current and past players and praise head coach Andy Reid before delivering a few rules for those who intend on stepping into GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

“Jingle bells are loud/ But our decibels are unstoppable,” he raps. “When the Red Kingdom rocks red/ A silent night is impossible/ Before stepping in the house/ There’s a few things you should know / Just some ground rules from Tech to help you enjoy the show.”

The Kansas City Chiefs may have gotten some inspiration from Tech N9ne’s track, as the team went on to beat the Seattle Seahawks, 24-10.
This isn’t the first time the “Like I Ain’t” rapper has celebrated his home team through music. In 2019, he recorded and released the song “Red Kingdom,” welcoming the team home during the third week of the NFL season.

Earlier this year, Tech N9ne was also the featured performer at the team’s Red Rally, a family-friendly pre-season concert meant to help fans get into the spirit. According to News-Press Now, the event, organized by local healthcare organization Mosaic Life Care, was expected to draw thousands of attendees.
In January, Tech N9ne took the stage for a half-time performance at the AFC Wild Card game in January, where the Chiefs defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers before advancing through the Playoffs, making it all the way to the AFC Conference Championship.
While he may not be as active with standard releases as he once was, Tech N9ne continues to command the respect of younger rappers.
In a rare interview with XXL in April 12, Playboi Carti credited Tech N9ne as a pioneer of his gothic rockstar movement.
