T.I. and his wife Tiny have cause to celebrate after successfully arguing to have a California case of sexual assault thrown out.

A rep for the couple told AllHipHop on Friday (August 9) that the case, filed by an unidentified woman earlier this year, has officially been dismissed.

“The court agreed with Tip and Tameka that Jane Doe doesn’t appear to have any viable claims,” the rep explained. “As Tip and Tameka stated three years ago, these allegations are some of the many false, salacious allegations thrown out into the media in a cheap attempt to extort money from them.”

Last month, the rapper (born Clifford Harris) and his wife asked for the case to be dismissed.

In a separate case in January, a woman identified as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit against the two over a 2005 incident, with claims of “sexual battery, assault, negligence and false imprisonment.” At the time of the filing, the couple issued a statement to HipHopDX in which they alleged the plaintiff had “been threatening to file this lawsuit for three years.”

In the motion filed last month, the Harrises’ attorney argued: “All the claims asserted in the Complaint are time-barred because the statute of limitations for such claims has long expired over sixteen years ago. Further, notwithstanding the fact that Defendants Clifford Harris (‘Mr. Harris’) and Tameka Harris (‘Mrs. Harris’) (collectively ‘Defendants’ or ‘Harrises’), deny that any of the alleged conduct even occurred, the Complaint fails to allege facts to sufficiently establish any of the claims alleged in the Complaint.”

The lawyer’s statement continued: “Accordingly, Defendants seek to dismiss all the claims in the Complaint … for failure to state a claim upon which any relief can be granted. Because there is no possible remedy for these deficiencies … Defendants seek dismissal of this entire action.”

Jane Doe is now unable to refile the complaint.

Per the lawsuit, the Atlanta rap legend and his wife allegedly met up with the plaintiff at a nightclub in Los Angeles while she was enlisted in the Air Force.

The woman believed that Tiny may have tampered with one of her drinks, following which she and two other girls apparently ended up at a hotel room with the “What You Know” rapper and his wife. After showering with the Southern MC and his wife and massaging him while he watched porn, she alleged that Tip penetrated her vagina with his toe even though she repeatedly told him not to do so.

“Are you alright? Looks like you in last place,” she claimed he said to her after she went to the bathroom to vomit.

The woman claimed to have then passed out, only to be escorted out of the hotel room the following morning while she was still in “serious pain.”
