Swae Lee has been involved in a pretty intense brawl with Coachella security, and it all went down in front of his newborn son.
The incident, which was caught on video and shared by TMZ, went down during Coachella’s second weekend and happened moments before Swae and Slim Jxmmi took the stage as Rae Sremmurd to perform on Sunday (April 23).

As the duo walked towards Coachella’s Outdoor Theatre stage at around 5:55 PM, Swae’s management informed TMZ that security did not recognize the Sremm 4 Life hitmaker, and that’s when things got physical.
Video shows Swae getting knocked against the fence as multiple security guards begin to pummel a man in the rapper’s camp. One of Swae’s security quickly grabs his baby and moves him out of the way as the brawl continues.

“As Swae Lee attempted to enter the festival with his newborn son and working crew, overzealous security guards confronted them,” the rapper’s management said. “Security claimed not to recognize the talent and then aggressively initiated contact as they attempted to make their way to the stage.”
They continued: “The security guards, which we presume are independent contractors, are seen clearly being the aggressors and then throwing gang signs at end of the video in a celebration.”
Luckily, Rae Sremmurd were still able to take the stage together and Swae Lee’s infant son escaped from the incident safe and unharmed.
It was previously reported last summer that Swae was expecting his first child with his girlfriend Victoria Kristine, who announced the pregnancy on her Instagram with photos from the baby shower.

Rae Sremmurd’s Coachella performance comes shortly after the duo returned with Sremm 4 Life, their first full-length project since SR3MM, which dropped in May 2018 and peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.

Their latest 14-track album features two stand-out features from Future and Young Thug, as well as production from Pharrell, Mike WiLL Made-It, Zaytoven, Murda Beatz and Sonny Digital, among others.
The project also includes the track “Not So Bad (Lean Gone Cold),” which is a codeine-inspired drill rap reworking of Eminem’s “Stan” and had fans losing their minds when Swae first previewed it on TikTok last year.
The Coachella brawl also comes after Swae Lee suffered a string of bad luck in 2022. Last July, the rapper was seen on video being rescued after he was trapped inside a hot elevator for three hours.
He then took a spill onstage a few days later while trying to stage dive during a performance of Rae Sremmurd’s hit “No Type.”

In other news, Swae Lee and Post Malone made history together last year as their “Sunflower” collaboration became the highest RIAA-certified single of all time.
The song, which was created as part of the Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse soundtrack in 2018, was certified 17x platinum, surpassing Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ 15x platinum “Old Town Road” remix.
