Styles P has issued a response to The Notorious B.I.G.’s former manager, who called out the LOX legend for saying that he preferred Donald Trump as president over Joe Biden.
Styles made the comments in a recent interview with the Touré Show, where he explained how he appreciated Trump’s blatant racism over Biden’s supposedly secret agenda against Black people.

“We were in crisis now but — I’d rather you have you tell me you don’t like me and know you don’t like me and you inform me than me have to guess it or you secretly don’t like me but you telling me you don’t like me,” he said.
“I think the government been doing that for ages. I’d rather deal with clear racism — just someone being who they are and letting you know where they come from.”

The comments didn’t sit well with Jacob York, the former manager of Biggie, Cam’ron and Lil Kim, who called out the Yonkers native for his “bullshit” argument.
“Styles is my boy so no disrespect to him. This argument is bullshit,” York said in a video response shared on social media. “At the end of the day, the logic that I would want a racist with his finger on the trigger, then someone who may be racist and I don’t know?
“That’s the craziest shit. It’s like saying I want a gun to my face then maybe there being a possibility that someone drive by and shoot me. Nah, I don’t want either, right?”

He continued: “At the end of the day, a lot of especially Black men that come from the hood in a certain age group are still shell shocked. They hide their misogyny and their bigotry behind this illusion that they’re intellectuals because they succeeded, right?”
York went on to say that Styles P represented the type of person who secretly voted for Trump and criticized Biden for being “just as bad,” and that his comments overall were “disingenuous.”
The “Good Times” rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday (August 29) to address York’s criticism, and started by taking issue with him calling him “disingenuous,” saying that as “human beings we should be able to disagree.”
“I’ve been called a lot of things in my life. I’ve never been called disingenuous,” Styles said. “Normally, the old me would have gotten mad. I didn’t even get mad. That’s how he feel, so I didn’t even choose to get mad.
“But here’s how I choose to see it: Touré asked me about the presidency. See, Jacob put the video like I choose Trump over Biden. I said I preferred Trump over Biden because I like to deal with my racism straight up.”
He continued: “When Trump was in office, you spoke about racism with your white co-worker. You spoke about racism at your barbershop. You knew your enemy was there. Whether you have a loud racist or a quiet racist, they’re both racist.”
Styles concluded by asking York to agree to disagree, and said that just because “you have a difference of opinion, does not allow you to call me [disingenuous] because you don’t agree with my opinion.”
Jacob York isn’t the only one who took issue with Styles P’s initial comments about Donald Trump, as fans flocked to social media to share their thoughts.
“Simply put this is ignorant and he is trying to split hairs by saying Trump is better to know He is against you versus whatever person / form of government is against you but won’t admit it,” wrote one user via Instagram.

“There is not a silver lining in that and it is dishonest and there is parrot in this chat comparing this nonsense to Malcolm X and no Democratic President is going to stack the Court and openly tear down policies and laws meant to address what slavery and racism did n does.”
They added: “Education- college is the most and reliable path to economic security and that road is being closed.”
