Snoop Dogg has responded to wild claims that he worships Satan after rocking a chain that some believed was based on the occultist diety Baphomet.

The accusations stemmed from the West Coast rap legend’s choice of jewelry in various appearances at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where he’s been a prominent presence.

“If you were on the fence about which side Snoop was on – he made it clear upon his appearance at the Satanic Olympics ritual. He wears Baphomet upon his heart,” read a post on social media highlighting Snoop’s alleged Satanist beliefs.

After catching wind of the absurd suggestion, Tha Doggfather hit back in an Instagram video on Monday (July 29) and clarified that his chain is actually a goat.

“I don’t know what y’all thought this was but this is the goat,” he explained while giving fans a close-up of his diamond pendant. “I had this made because somebody told me I was the G.O.A.T., so I wanted to make me a goat chain.

“All that other shit y’all talking about, I don’t know what y’all talking about, but this is the G.O.A.T. — the greatest of all time.”

He added: “That other shit y’all talking about, miss me with that bullshit. The Dogg is the G.O.A.T., representing peace and love around the whole globe […] The media loves starting shit. Leave me the fuck alone. I’m over here having fun in Paris.”

Snoop Dogg isn’t the first A-list artist to fight off allegations of Satanism.

Earlier this year, Usher denied a bizarre claim that he worships the Devil after giving a “nervous” speech at the NAACP Image Awards.

The R&B legend was honored at the ceremony, taking home Entertainer of the Year as well as the President’s Award.

While acceptin the latter, Usher said: “My heart is beating really, really fast. It beats with passion. And I’m very honored to be able to receive this amazing award from the depths of my soul.

“My passion work is what has mattered for me the moment my mother made me understand what purpose lies with the opportunity to be able to speak to the entire world.”

Conspiracy theorist Mark Hanalla later claimed that the singer nearly thanked the Devil in his speech when he stuttered saying the word “depths.”

However, Usher refuted the claims in an angry Instagram comment, writing: “Get the hell outta here!! God is my lord and savior… the devil is a lie!! You got me fucked up!! Not today sir… I never have time for this type shit but today you gon hear this.”

He added: “So I was a bit nervous and jumbled my words when speaking from my heart… I hate teleprompters and they started to rush me because I was getting a bit long winded… everybody gets nervous, especially in this position.
