Slim 400‘s killer has officially been sentenced to 32 years behind bars for the 2021 shooting death of the West Coast rapper.
According to TMZ, Michael Terry’s sentence was handed down in a Los Angeles courtroom on Wednesday (July 17) after he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter for killing Slim in his own driveway in December 2021.

Terry and a woman named Tamra Lynn Bell were arrested in June 2022 in connection to the murder. Bell is slated to be sentenced in January 2025 after pleading guilty to felony accessory after the fact.
The killing was captured on a nearby Ring surveillance camera that shows someone walking up a driveway before encountering Slim 400, who was sitting in a car. The person got to the car and began firing shots which Slim tried to dodge but couldn’t. The video ends with Slim 400 on the ground, crawling after the suspect.

The 33-year-old rapper was taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Slim 400 was best known for his long-running affiliation with YG, having appeared on tracks such as “Twist My Fingaz,” “When I Was Gone” and “Word Is Bond.” He also released several solo projects, including 2016’s All Blassik, 2019’s High Off TTreez and BompTTon.

The Compton native survived a previous attempt on his life in 2018, when he was shot eight times in a drive-by shooting. Slim was rushed to St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles and underwent multiple surgeries before making a successful recovery.
YG was one of the pallbearers at Slim 400’s funeral in January 2022. He was among those tasked with carrying his silver casket, which was littered with red bandanas and white and red Chuck Taylors, to his final resting place.
Just a couple of months after Slim’s passing, YG got a tattoo done in memory of his fallen friend.
The ink lives on the rapper’s calf muscle and shows a picture of Slim 400 wearing a red bandana.
