Shyne has condemned Diddy 2016 assault on Cassie after CCTV footage emerged of the incident.
The former Bad Boy rapper turned politician, who was sent to prison in 2001 following a shooting that also involved his label boss, spoke out against the Hip Hop mogul on social media.

“I vehemently denounce the repugnant behavior of Sean Diddy Combs captured on the video in which he is seen physically assaulting Mrs. Cassie Ventura-Fine,” he wrote on Instagram.
“There is no place for Violence against Women anywhere on the planet. As a father of a precious daughter, a global citizen and the next Prime Minister of Belize I want absolutely nothing to do with people who engage in this pattern of diabolical behavior.”

Shyne concluded by saying: “My prayers are with Cassie and all the other victims who have come forward with horrendous allegations against Mr Combs.”

Shyne also recently reacted to the woman he allegedly shot in 1999 claiming that Diddy was actually the person who pulled the trigger.
In a press conference in his home country of Belize, Shyne said: “It opens wounds when you hear the victim saying it was Diddy that shot her. That is what is most remarkable.”

He then alleged that he was the “fall guy” for the incident: “I’ve been saying this all along. Everyone knew all along that I was the fall guy, but my political enemies and detractors tried to make me into this criminal, but everyone knew that I was a young kid that took the fall.”
Shyne added: “I’m just saying that I maintained my innocence all this time. I said that I was defending myself. I didn’t get into who did what. But the victim is telling you who did what.”
The shooting in question occurred on December 27, 1999 at Club New York in Manhattan following an altercation between the Bad Boy camp and a man named Matthew “Scar” Allen.
Shots were fired inside the club and three bystanders were injured. Both Shyne and Diddy were arrested after the incident, but the latter, along with his bodyguard, was acquitted of all charges.

Shyne, on the other hand, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted of criminal possession of a weapon, assault and reckless endangerment. He was, however, found not guilty of attempted murder.
He was later deported to his native Belize following his release from prison in 2009.
