Shannon Sharpe has made clear that he won’t be having Nicki Minaj as a guest on his podcast anytime soon.

The athlete-turned-podcaster took to Twitter on Sunday (February 4) to shut down a fan’s request for him to host the New York native.

“@ShannonSharpe Nicki said a few days ago on Stationhead she wanted to be on your podcast!! I really want to hear you talk to her about everything going on in the media and especially after her snub tonight!” the social media user wrote.

Sharpe, however, seems indifferent to the idea as he quote-tweeted the post soon after with a succinct: “Nicki who?”

Given Nicki Minaj’s ongoing beef with Megan Thee Stallion, it is worth noting that “Unc” got into trouble last year for his comments about the Houston Hottie in a viral clip from his Nightcap show with Chad Ochocinco.

“I’d have her stretched out like quarter to three,” he said. “I do it three ways, Ocho: deep, hard and continuously … I’d have her opening up like saloon doors.”

The former NFL star was then widely criticized for his remarks, with one Instagram user saying: “Love Shannon, but this is wildly inappropriate. He is employed by ESPN. They don’t play that, he needs to tone it down on these types of comments. It’s not the 90s anymore.”

Another added: “In light of all the lawsuits, I just want men to chill for a min. Like take a step back from the overt/public sex talk and stories and find something safe to chat about.”

“Giving perv vibes. Please go find something else to do cause this ain’t it,” one person shared, while another wrote: “Shannon is getting a bit too comfortable. He should relax, he’s giving old & creepy.”

Just last month, Shannon Sharpe upset Beyhive after sharing a hot take about the Renaissance star and Taylor Swift.

On a different episode of the aforementioned podcast, he discussed the “Blank Space” hitmaker’s recent appearances at NFL games to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. He then read out a report about her economic impact on the Chiefs and how she has helped generate an extra $300 million in revenue for the team, before claiming that no other artist could have that type of impact on the league.

When Ochocinco suggested that Beyoncé could, Sharpe replied: “Not like this. Beyoncé ain’t moving the needle like this chick. The NFL can have anybody do halftime, I guarantee Taylor Swift is first.”
