Sexyy Red has quite the doppelgänger out there in the world, but this person is a bit more…refined.
On Monday (August 12), X user at the handle @__naturalista__ uploaded a selfie that immediately went viral, as people couldn’t help but notice her uncanny resemblance to the “Get It Sexyy” rapper – albeit much more cleaned up.

“you look like Sexyy Redd if she went to college & majored in physical science,” one person joked. “This is ‘Wholesome Red,'” another person quipped.
“Sexy redd if she graduated college with a 4.0 GPA and was a Data Analyst. You look smart!,” someone else said, while another comment read: “Respectfully Red.”

By the next day, the post made its way to Sexyy herself, who retweeted with her own name idea: “Sophisticatedd Red?”

In other news, Sexyy Red was quick to clear up rumors she’d be performing at a Donald Trump rally earlier this month after a post circulated on X that claimed she’d be hitting the stage for the presidential hopeful in Atlanta.
“Dey fakin dats cap,” she wrote with a retweet.

Last month, Sexyy Red distanced herself from any affiliation with Trump after catching backlash for performing with a giant MAGA hat during her set at the 2024 Roots Picnic. While the hat did read “Make America Sexyy Again” as opposed to Trump’s signature phrase, many fans weren’t feeling her seemingly endorsing the controversial figure.
“It’s Sexyy Red 4 President [American flag emoji] I’m my own candidate I’m not endorsing anybody period [kiss emoji],” she wrote on X the following day.

Back in October, Sexyy Red talked about her affinity for Trump during an interview on comedian Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast. She claimed that the hood loves Trump due to him freeing Black people from prison and providing stimulus checks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I like Trump,” she said. “Yeah, they support him in the hood. At first I don’t think people was fucking with him. They thought he was racist, saying little shit against women.
“But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money. Aww baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office. We need him back because, baby, them checks. Them stimulus checks. Trump, we miss you.”
She added: “I love Trump. He funny to me. I used to be watching him talking to people. He used to be calling people fat. He just bold. He funny. We need people like him.”

The response on social media wasn’t great, considering Trump’s presidency was plagued by accusations of racism, misogyny and election interference.
“Clearly some people don’t know how the stimulus checks worked, who’s money it actually was/is and how it go distributed… People believe anything,” Hot 97 and Apple Music’s Ebro Darden wrote on X.
