Sexyy Red was involved in a massive brawl at Newark Airport in New Jersey this past weekend that ended in her arrest.
Security footage the fight was released by TMZ on Tuesday (June 11), with it showing the “Pound Town” rapper and her entourage scuffling with other people inside the airport.

Sexyy, rocking a red bonnet, could be seen swinging a pole during the melee but isn’t actually shown hitting anyone with it. Instead, she was pushed to the ground and seemingly walked away after getting back to her feet.
After more tussling and bickering between the two groups, security personnel eventually broke up the fight and at least one person was arrested by police officers.

Sexxy Red was among those detained and taken to jail early Saturday morning (June 8), with authorities citing disorderly conduct as the reason for her arrest.
Others involved in the fight were booked on assault charges, while the alleged victims received medical treatment for minor injuries.

The “SkeeYee” star seemed to be in good spirits following the incident as she posted a video of herself on social media, saying: “Good morning! I’ve just got out.”
She also wrote: “To the people that was in that altercation at the airport please dm me so I can replace yo phone!!”

Earlier in the weekend, Sexyy Red made headlines thanks to her somewhat confusing relationship with Chief Keef.
The St. Louis and Chicago natives have long stated that they’re just friends, but fans remain unconvinced about the nature of their relationship.

The “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad)” rapper posted a video of herself with the Chicago drill legend, insisting that their flirty behavior was them just “playing,” and that she viewed him as her “brother.”
Fans, though, weren’t having it. “My brother ain’t never played patty cake with my azzz,” wrote one, while others opined, “Gonna tell my kids this was Barack Obama and Michelle” and, “Ima tell my kids this Rosa parks and Martin Luther king.”
Sexyy Red, however, isn’t the only one who insists that she and Chief Keef are just good friends.
Back in March, Keef spoke about the rising Midwest MC backstage at Rolling Loud California.

Asked by interviewer Tetris Kelly what he believed was the reason “people go so crazy for Sexyy Red,” Keef’s response was simple: “She just … you could tell she really just come from where we come from.”
