While their words are hard to decipher, their excitement and love for one another can be felt through the screen.
Saweetie kept the love fest going on stage, while presenting honoree Young Miko with the IMPACT award, shouting out Victoria Monét, Ice Spice,Coco Jones and Katy Perry.
While the two rap starlets may not have made the short list of honorees at this year’s Women In Music ceremony, they have both already been making waves with their music in 2024.
In January, Saweetie previewed a new track, dubbed “Immortal (Freestyle),” in an Instagram post on a few days ahead of its release, to which fans responded with a bevy of overwhelmingly positive comments.

Weeks later, she followed the freestyle up with an official single titled “Richtivities,” sparking speculations about the arrival of a new album. Unfortunately, all of the chatter surrounding her pending debut album hasn’t been positive.
On Saturday (March 2), the Bay Area rapper retweeted a since-deleted post by MyMixtapes that read: “Saweetie says her debut album has been significantly delayed, not because she doesn’t care about making music, but because she feels no one cares about her music.”

“who paying yall?” she captioned the reshare, along with a screenshot of the original quote and excerpt from her recent cover story for Allurethat read: “‘I just feel like nobody was caring about my music,’ Saweetie says of the people around her at that time. ‘To me, music is sacred.’”
February also saw GloRilla deliver her latest single “Yeah Glo,” along with a Tony Roscoe-directed video featuring the Memphis rapper revisiting different versions of her younger self while celebrating her growth in more than one way.
Earlier in the month the “Tomorrow 2” rapper revealed that she’s been in the studio heavily, with not one but two new projects on the way.
“I’m always working on some new work,” she said to Pittsburgh Steelers star receiver George Pickens. “I’m working on a project right now. Two different projects. They gon’ be live. One of them is a collab and then the next one like my first debut album.”
