Sauce Walka has been arrested after leading police on a 130 mph car chase until he crashed his vehicle.

According to court documents obtained by FOX 26 Houston, the 33-year-old rapper (real name Albert Walker Mondane) has been charged with evading arrest or detention – motor vehicle, watercraft or tire deflation device.

The incident reportedly took place in Houston in the early hours of Wednesday morning (December 6), with Walka evading police at high speed for over two miles until crashing.

It’s unclear whether Sauce Walka suffered any injuries or received medical treatment. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Friday (December 8).

Following his arrest, a video was posted to Sauce Walka’s Instagram Stories in which he can be heard talking to one of his artists on the phone from jail.

During the call, the “Ghetto Gospel” rapper reveals he’s in “good” condition and expected to be released from police custody soon.

“I want to tell all my fans that I appreciate y’all for your care and concern,” he says. “I’m good, I’m straight. I made it through a catastrophic accident and the Super Saiyan that I am, I’m still here, I’m good, I’m healthy and will continue to be wealthy.

“Right now, I’m incarcerated but I should be getting out soon. I’ma drop a video for y’all ’cause I know y’all miss me. And I’ve been working hard so I’ve got some more work I’ma drop for y’all.”

This isn’t the first time that Sauce Walka has had a run-in with the law this year. In March, he was reportedly arrested in Miami on drug charges.

According to Daily Loud, the Houston native was allegedly caught carrying 66 grams of marijuana inside his backpack. He was also said to have had a bench warrant for not possessing a driver’s license.

Raphouse TV reported that Walka had been charged with intent to sell, manufacture, and deliver cannabis, with his bail set at $5,000.

In December 2022, several members of The Sauce Factory (TSF) — founded by Sauce Walka — were arrested on racketeering charges.

FOX 26 Houston reported the TSF members were taken into custody just before Christmas for various crimes following an investigation conducted by the FBI and Houston Police Department.

Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani said the crimes included drug trafficking, possessing a “Glock switch” and being a felon in possession of a firearm. A total of 14 people were arrested as part of the investigation.
